Jake Tyler and his high-school football team win an important game. A disgruntled opposing player makes taunts about Jake's father, who was killed because Jake let his father drive intoxicated and failed to stop him. Infamously-hot-tempered Jake starts a brawl with the opposing player. Spectators capture the brawl with mobile phones and video-cameras. Soon, the brawl is uploaded to YouTube.
Jake gets thrown off the team for brawling, but takes it in stride because he is leaving this school anyway. He and his younger brother Charlie are moving with their widowed mom to Orlando, Florida where Charlie has received a tennis scholarship. The Tyler brothers are close despite Jake's penchant for fighting and getting into trouble, which greatly upsets their mom.

Allan Carter
Blackville Talon
Dear Mr. Carter
I am applying for the position of a writer for the Blackville talon news paper.
You well not have to worry about the writes ups on school events being on time.
I would really like to have the job as a sports writer for the Blackville talon, I believe that I would do a really good job because I play sports and I really enjoy working with a team, in writing a news paper there is a lot of team work required.
I believe that I would be a great advantage to your news paper, one reason for stating this is that I am in grade 10 English and my mother is a high school English teacher. I am very capable of getting my teacher and my mother to help me with the piece of writing that I am preparing for the Blackville Talon.
I would just like to thank you for taking you time to read and consider my job position proposal.

The Big Change
"Freedom Writers" is a 2007 American film starring Hilary Swank, Scott Glenn, Imelda Saunton and Patrick Dempsey. It is based on the book The Freedom Writers I really injoyed this movie.
The movie freedom writers takes place in the early 1990's, Hilary Swank also known as Mrs. G plays the roll of a new excited school teacher. who leaves the safety of her hometown, Newport Beach, to teach at a High School in Long Beach, where there are many troubled students which she helps out alot, students of all backgrounds and races are put in classes together.
When watching the flm freedom writers I brought to mind an other film that was really simular and the name of this film was "The Substitute" It was all about the same school situations but over all i really injoyed the freedom writes the most.
In my oppion I found the Mrs. G or Hilary Swank did an excelent job of portraying the charter of a young new caring school teacher, who wants no more than for her student to succeed in life and try to live to be 18. Later on in this movie the students are moving on and they want mrs. G to move on with them and sure enough she well be there teacher untill they graduate.
For my closing and final pargraph I would just like to talk about the theme of the movie I belive that the theme of this movie is just to be your self and not to judge a book by it cover. metaphorically speeking Mrs. G was the book at the first of the movie and none of the students liked her and by the end they all loved her and didn't want to move on with out her.

The Mustang
It is a beautiful Saturday morning and I have just finished waxing my 2009 Ford Mustang Cobra GT. I feel a great sense of pride as I admire its vibrant deep green hood as it sits gleaming in the sunshine. As I start up the engine and it purrs to life, the combination of the 351-425 horse power and the red hot duel exhaust system make me smile inside.
I quickly put away my cleaning supplies in the garage and then race into the house for a quick shower. I know that I have to hurry because I promised to pick up my friends, Colby and Brandon by 10:00 o’clock because we are taking my Mustang to the drag strip in Miramichi. It’s my first race with this baby so I’m a little anxious.
The drive into Miramichi goes by as if I’m in a daze. When we arrive at the racetrack it is only 12:30 but there are already hundreds of excited fans making their way to the bleachers for a good seat. My friends and I chat with some of the other drivers but I have to admit that I have trouble concentrating because of the butterflies in my stomach.
It feels like forever before it is my turn at the starting gate. I am relieved to find out that I am racing against a faded red 1970 Cheval SS with a 396 motor. My baby has a 351 motor with cold air intake, a positive traction rear end and a performance chip to give it that little extra juice.
As I pull up to the starting line I take one quick glance in my rear view mirror. I see Colby and Brandon grinning from ear to ear and giving a thumbs up to wish me luck. In my heart I don’t really think the old Cheval will be much of a challenge but I can still feel tiny beads of sweat forming on my forehead and upper lip.
With a skilled movement of my sweaty right palm, I shove the clutch in, rev the RPM’s to 4200 and then pop the clutch. I leave my opponent in a cloud of white smoke with nothing but the aroma of burned rubber to keep him company. My Mustang takes off as if old faded red is sitting still. With my heart pounding still harder in my chest I check my tacometer. It reads 4400. Suddenly, with practiced precision I jump the clutch to 2nd…3rd… 4th. It’s over and I smoked him (in more than one way).
When I reach out for the black and white checkered flag my adrenalin rush continues as I see hundreds of people clapping and hear the wild cheers from the bleachers. I guess Ford said it best when he said, “Ford Mustang, built for the road”.
